El Ganso and the Global Fashion Community

Mirco on the Tube

You are a storyteller. Every time you compose an outfit and edit it with layers or accessories, you contribute to the ongoing narrative that is your identity. That image of who you are plays out during the course of your life. You form conscious and unconscious relationships with the fashion brands that help you construct yourself. Buying clothes is not only a material exchange. It’s a reciprocal one in which customers also help companies practice their values. Mirco Frassin has such an alliance with El Ganso, the innovative Spanish brand of international influences writing itself into London fashion history.

Mirco is not only a fan of El Ganso, he also works at its Covent Garden shop. We caught up with him for an interview at the store to discover what sets El Ganso’s menswear designs apart from competitors such as Paul Smith, Ted Baker and Pretty Green. We got privileged access to the current collection and asked Mirco about how his approach to fashion has changed since he moved to the UK from Italy. He told us about the role El Ganso played in that evolution and much more. The result is an intimate portrait of a driven man and the brand that keeps him ready to conquer the world.

Mirco’s El Ganso wardrobe, modeled in the profile, is a mix of smart British standards with a casual twist. For the interview, he wears this season’s Blue Herringbone Checkered Wool Moon Blazer (£185), a White Cambridge Slim Fit Shirt with Cutaway Collar and Double Cuffs (£59), a Navy Merino Wool Cardigan (£75) and a Bow Tie with Wide Navy and Burgundy Stripes(£25). The look keeps looking good for work at the shop, while easily transitioning for a collegiate yet comfortable look when he runs to university for class. Versatility and class are values Mirco trusts to El Ganso.
